What if today the war in Ukraine ended and peace was established?
What if today Covid disappeared, along with every possible variant?
I think we all would be pretty excited about this kind of good news!
My wife and I recently found out that we are going to grandparents of not just one granddaughter, but two before this year ends!! That is some great news that came to us.

But the best news of history is the euangellion (Gk), the “Gospel”, is that we can have peace with God, forgiveness, and life, because of the sacrifice of Jesus and His resurrection.

We emphasize this message every Easter, but may we not grow bored or indifferent over this message.

Let’s remember that is up to us to proclaim the Good News!

If you are a church leader, as you plan towards Easter, make an extra effort to be a herald of the Good News. We have to let people know what we are doing in order for them to have an opportunity to even show up. People rarely show up for something they don’t know about. People cannot respond to a message they do not hear.

Romans 10:14 “14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

As you promote your Good Friday and Easter services, remember that it isn’t mere marketing or promotion, it is Good News proclamation. Let people know what God is calling you to do, and do it early, with clarity, and with innovation.

I suggest using your website, social media, flyers, free community calendars (online), Craigslist, video, email, newspaper, TV, and whatever other creative avenues you come up with. But make a plan, and begin to roll it out now. Anticipate a great turnout, and a great impact.

People are hungry for Good News, and you have the message.
