Dear Israel Team:
2019 is going to be a life changing year!
I am excited for what the Lord has ahead, especially our trip to Israel.
Visiting Israel will absolutely change the way you read the Bible.
It will enable you to “see” the stories of the Bible like never before. You will experience the land, the seas, the topography and the cities that shaped history.
This is a remarkable place – the place where Jesus lived, died and rose again.
As we approach Easter I want to encourage you to pray for our team and embrace a joyful expectation for our trip together in November. We have now reserved 40 spots for our group (we still have a couple of additional openings).
Here are a couple of things you could do now:
- If you haven’t sent Amy McKnight a copy of your passport, please do so. You can scan and email it, take a picture of it, or bring a copy by the church office. Her email address is [email protected].
- If you would like to get travel insurance, I suggest you visit www.insuremytrip.com. A comprehensive plan costs about $150/traveller. This includes all kinds of benefits including cancellation refund, credit for lost baggage, credit for flight delays, and much more. It is completely up to you whether or not you purchase something like this.
On our way home I anticipate getting hotel rooms for us near San Francisco for the night of our arrival. We will be tired and will not want to drive late into the night after already traveling for a long time. I believe I have enough money in our current budget to cover this additional expense.
